Responsibilities:

Write copy for digital campaigns, emails, and occasional scripts for local promotions
Create compelling and engaging marketing copy that will drive attention and awareness to the slate of events
Translate editorial themes and creative briefs into copy that amplifies messages and resonates with the audience
Come up with creative campaign concepts from small to large-scale marketing initiatives
Positively reflect the brand and how the brand shows up to a various groups of consumers and potential event attendees
Have a deep understanding of an audience and channel first approach
Understand marketing objectives and how to write copy across brand-led and sales-led messaging
Understand the nuances of marketing channels, including organic social, paid social, paid media, email, website, TV, digital and print ads and fluency writing across them
Understand the needs of different audiences and how to speak to their needs by adapting tone and voice
Understand creative best practices and partner closely with designers
Self-manage multiple projects with hard deadlines
Have an interest in media, live events and the topics the event covers
Have a curious mindset and be eager to dive deeper into relevant subject matter
Stay informed on the competitive landscape
Have the ability to rework longer form copy to meet organic social objectives, including CTAs to drive next steps
Incorporate feedback in a thorough, accurate and timely manner
Proofread, copy edit and fact-check content
Check text to ensure it is well written and logically structured
Correct grammar and check spelling
Check facts and raise queries with content to ensure the highest quality content is produced
Take existing content and finesse the copy to fit a specific word or character count


Qualifications:

We will be working with this Copywriter / Copy Editor in a vendor partnership therefore one must be incorporated to maintain business compliance
Native fluency in at least one of the following languages: English, Korean, Chinese (both Simplified and Traditional), or Japanese
Proven experience in writing compelling marketing copy for events, brand or advertising campaigns
A strong portfolio of work to share as part of the application process, with examples relevant to marketing campaigns that support event promotion, experiences and installations
The ability to translate briefs into copy with little to no direction
Experience in agency, media or entertainment industry a plus
Ideally has an understanding of holistic marketing comms planning
Basic understanding of SEO copywriting is a plus
